Some really great suggestions came in for perhaps lesser known, but definitely worthwhile places to keep up with in the diabetes community (some people had trouble getting their blog comments to post, so some were emailed to me - that's fine, those count towards the contest, too!), and I wanted to share a few of them:
- To keep up with all things FDA, MedWatch is their safety info and adverse events hub. You can also sign up for email alerts on whatever topics may be of interest to you, as well.
- If you're a teen with type 1 diabetes, there's a closed Facebook group you may be interested in.
- Diabetes on Reddit - it's a thing. (And some of the sub-reddits made me laaaaaaugh.)
- Searching for "diabetes" on Tumblr is a little bit of a crapshoot, but sometimes leads you to some pretty great stuff like this illustration that just screams "Diabetes Art Day!" to me.
While I originally stated that we'd narrow things down to a "top 10" and pick a winner of the $100 Target gift card from there, we had less than 10 entries qualify, so instead I used random.org to pick a winner.
